(Registered Charity no 216960)
All fundraising carried out at Hathersage Swimming Pool or in aid of is for The King George’s Field Charity. This charity was set up in 1936 as part of a national scheme to commemorate the death of King George V.
Why do we need you to support the Pool? It makes the village very special, being situated in a beautiful setting and it provides a fantastic, family-friendly facility for people of all ages to have fun and keep fit. We need to preserve it for future generations so that your children and grandchildren will enjoy the benefit from it in the future. We would stress that King George’s Field Charity is raising money for the long-term maintenance and refurbishment of the pool infrastructure including the installation of a photovoltaic glass roof on the Solarium. Money raised is not used for the routine running and maintenance costs.
We have hard-working marketing and fundraising groups which organise special events during the year and we hope you will support us at all or some of these. As usual we will be holding our Monthly night swims to live music and The Annual 24 hour Swim.
The 100 Club has been running for 11 years, again providing financial support for the pool, and also a monthly prize draw for participants. At a cost of £12 per year (November – October), pro-rata if you join now, you may win back your contribution. If you would like to participate, please complete the 100 Club portion of the form and return to the address shown.
