On Sunday 26th July the pool celebrates its 90th anniversary. We have a dedicated day of celebrations planned for our passholders and Hathersage village residents only.
If you have a pass you can book online to any session using your password. If you are a Hathersage village resident without a pass then you can simply pay on entry to the session you wish to attend. (please bring along proof of residency)

Hathersage Swimming Pool is proud to announce a landmark moment in its history as we celebrate 90 years of our glorious swimming pool. Since opening in 1936, the pool has been a cherished hub for swimmers, families & visitors — a place where generations have learned, laughed and connected through the joy of outdoor swimming.
To mark this remarkable anniversary, we will be hosting a special 90th Anniversary Weekend on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th July, bringing together the very best of what makes our pool so loved.
A Weekend of Celebration
On Saturday we welcome everyone to celebrate with us, on Sunday the celebrations continue for pass holders and Hathersage residents only.
- Swimming sessions throughout the weekend
- Live music from local performers and brass bands.
- Art displays created by talented local artists, showcasing the creativity and spirit of our village pool.
- A true community celebration, honouring nine decades of shared memories, heritage and outdoor swimming
This milestone event is designed to celebrate not just the pool’s history, but the people who have shaped it — the swimmers, staff, volunteers and supporters who have kept Hathersage Pool thriving for 90 years.
