HELP HATHERSAGE SWIMMING POOL THROUGH
fundraising

All fundraising carried out at Hathersage Swimming Pool or in aid of is for The King George’s Field Charity. This charity was set up in 1936 as part of a national scheme to commemorate the death of King George V.
Why do we need you to support the Pool? It makes the village very special, being situated in a beautiful setting and it provides a fantastic, family-friendly facility for people of all ages from the surrounding communities to have fun and keep fit. We need to preserve it for future generations so that your children and grandchildren will enjoy the benefit from it in the future. We would stress that King George’s Field Charity is raising money for the long-term maintenance and refurbishment of the pool infrastructure including the installation of a photovoltaic glass roof on the Solarium (completed Spring 2017) and the new circulation and filtration systems (completed Spring 2020), new heating system (completed Spring 2021) and future project including improved renewable heating alternatives to work along current system, improvements to the pool entrance. Money raised is not used for the routine running and maintenance costs.
We have hard-working marketing and fundraising groups which organise special events during the year and we hope you will support us at all or some of these. With COVID restrictions being lifted we are looking to reintroduce our Monthly night swims to live music, The Annual 24 hour Swim (mid June) and many more fundraising events. For full list of future fundraising events please visit are events calendar.
The pool is managed by Hathersage Parish Council on behalf of The King Georges Field Charitable Trust.
